Our Story

From Shared Memory to Shared Mission

The Baptist Theological Seminary of Zambia has shaped generations of pastors, teachers, missionaries, chaplains, ministry leaders, and Christian workers. For many graduates, BTSZ was more than a place of academic instruction. It was where their understanding of Scripture was sharpened, their convictions were tested, their love for the church deepened, and their calling to service clarified.

The BTSZ Alumni Association was formed from the conviction that those equipped through the Seminary carry a continuing responsibility to support its work. The Association transforms a shared history into organised fellowship and turns gratitude into faithful action.

We are not merely a list of former students or a social club. We are a working fellowship committed to gospel faithfulness, institutional support, mutual care, and generational legacy.

Why We Exist

Our Vision and Mission

Our identity is rooted in Christ, shaped by biblical and Baptist conviction, and expressed through practical service.

Our Vision

A United, Christ-Centred Fellowship

To be a united, Christ-centred fellowship of BTSZ graduates committed to supporting the Seminary, strengthening one another in ministry, and advancing biblical theological education in Zambia and beyond.

Our Mission

Mobilised for Faithful Partnership

To mobilise BTSZ graduates for fellowship, mutual support, ministry collaboration, student mentorship, resource mobilisation, and faithful partnership with the Seminary in training men and women for gospel service.

Our Motto

Equipped to Serve,
United to Support.

We were equipped through BTSZ not for pride, isolation, or personal advancement alone, but to serve Christ, His church, our communities, and the next generation. Because we have received much, we stand united in supporting the Seminary, one another, current students, and the wider work of the gospel.
